ABOUT US
The Junior Tennis Fund of Sacramento is a collective giving organization that supports tennis programs for underserved children in the Greater Sacramento area, including Sacramento,
El Dorado, Placer, Yolo Counties and parts of San Joaquin and Solano Counties. Our grants are given to Recreation and Park Districts to provide clinics for their young players. We have also given generous grants to 16 Sacramento area high schools for
their tennis teams.
JTFS was started in 2014 and has contributed $60,000 to local tennis programs for underserved youth in our community and
are celebrating our 10th anniversary. The Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento creates opportunities for underserved children to experience the joys of playing tennis. We fund group tennis lessons, support participation in local junior tennis tournaments and aid high school tennis programs with grants to support their teams.
We want to make tennis available to everyone. We’re driven to break down barriers in an effort to bring tennis to places and people it’s never (or rarely) been before. Diversity, availability, accessibility are our mantras. We want kids to know that there are places to play near their homes. We want to get more youth playing because we know the benefits of tennis can have a lifelong positive impact on their education, careers, and lives. And we want promising young juniors to have the support they need to fulfill
their tennis dreams and aspirations.
We are a community of people from all walks of life who pool our charitable donations to achieve maximum, immediate impact for area youth through tennis.
Thank you for your continued support,

WHAT DOES JUNIOR TENNIS FUND SACRAMENTO DO FOR OUR COMMUNITY?
-
We help to engage more young tennis players in the format and social aspects of the game
-
We focus on under-served areas of our community to bring tennis to those specific areas
-
We support tennis programs throughout the community with funds, as well as resources we can gather from our fellow tennis players, i.e., clothes, rackets, ball hoppers, etc.
-
We support high schools and recreation programs by advertising their specific needs to the community
-
JTFS is a clearinghouse of sorts for everything tennis!
Specific contributions:
-
Yearly grants to Recreation and Park Districts to enable tennis clinics for first-time youth players
-
Fund clinics for beginning players who cannot afford paid lessons. These clinics have been staffed in the past by the UCD Men’s players
-
$1000 grants to area high schools (12 so far) to help them update and accumulate the best equipment. Rackets, balls, teaching tools, etc. We do not encourage teams to update nets (a school asset) and uniforms (yearly expense).
We can do all these things because YOU keep us on your donations list.
